Zoho Integrates Facebook Connect, Welcomes Facebook Users

Users Can Login to Zoho Applications Using Facebook Credentials

PLEASANTON, Calif.-- Zoho today announced it has added Zoho CRM and Zoho Projects to the Google Apps Marketplace™, Google's recently launched online storefront for Google Apps™ products and services. From a central location, millions of Google Apps users can now subscribe to and access Zoho business applications, which are tightly integrated with Google Apps. To learn more, visit zoho.com/googleapps.

"Zoho's Business Apps complement Google Apps. We previously integrated our apps at the log-in level with single sign-on," said
Raju Vegesna, Zoho evangelist.

"We want to make our applications open to everyone, and we didn't want the account creation process to be a hassle when trying Zoho applications. A lot of our users are already logging in with other credentials, and now we are extending this to Facebook as well. On one side, users can login to Zoho using their Facebook credentials and on the other side, Zoho has the Apps for Facebook platform making it a seamless integration."

Login to Zoho with your Facebook Account

Users can easily login to Zoho using their Facebook account:

  • On Zoho's homepage, users will see "Sign In using Facebook."
  • The user clicks on the Facebook icon to reach Facebook's login page and logs in to Facebook.
  • After granting permission for Zoho to access the user's Facebook account information, the user is redirected to Zoho.

No separate login is required for Zoho.

A user can map his or her Facebook account with an existing Zoho account, integrating the accounts under a common username. Otherwise, the user can create a new Zoho account by choosing a unique username.

The unified login gives Facebook users single sign-on access to all Zoho applications, including Zoho Office Suite and Zoho Business applications such as Zoho CRM, Zoho Meeting, Zoho Creator, Zoho Invoice, Zoho Projects,Zoho Reports, Zoho People, Zoho Mail and Zoho Marketplace. As most Zoho business applications have a free version, users can expand the number of online business applications they use without increasing their costs.

This functionality is also useful for sharing documents and other files. Now users can share their files with friends that have Facebook accounts, and those friends can login with their Facebook credentials to view the shared files without having to create a new Zoho account.
